In some countries including India Friendship Day is celebrated on first Sunday of August. Though on 27th July 2011 the 65th Session of the United Nations General Assembly declared 30th July as ‘international Friendship Day’.

In countries like India, Bangladesh and other subcontinent countries along with all South American countries and North American countries, the Friendship Day is very popular. People exchange Friendship Day cards, Friendship Bands to celebrate the holy spirit of Friendship.
